Description
FEYNLAB Ceramic Wheel and Caliper was built for one job: surviving the absolute worst conditions your wheels see every day. Heat, brake dust, road grime, and heavy contamination are exactly what this coating was designed to handle. The product delivers seventy percent solid ceramic content, creating a dense, durable protective layer that withstands extreme temperatures and constant abuse. Once applied, wheel cleaning becomes dramatically easier with brake dust and contamination releasing with minimal effort. FEYNLAB nano chemistry allows the coating to penetrate the existing surface structure for a true bond, creating a level of durability and chemical resistance that sets it apart from anything else in this category. The result is a highly hydrophobic and slick surface that repels contamination effectively and makes washing dramatically easier. It withstands high temperatures from brake systems, bonds well to aluminum, steel, and powder coated surfaces, maintains wheel finish, and gives true depth of color. Each thirty milliliter bottle typically covers two to three full sets of wheel faces when applied with standard methods, or one to two sets when applied with airbrush depending on wheel design complexity. As part of our True series, Ceramic Wheel and Caliper delivers professional grade durability for both DIY enthusiasts and professionals alike.
Ceramic and Wheel Caliper Benefits:
With an extremely high solids content (70%), Feynlab® Ceramic and Wheel Caliper will stand up to the daily beating delivered by road contamination and brake dust.
FEYNLAB’s™ true nano technology and bonding chemistry allows for an unparalleled level of protection since the formula penetrates further into the existing paint structure than anything else available.
APPROVED SURFACES
- Clear-coated painted wheels
- Painted brake calipers
- Chrome surfaces
- Powder Coated Surfaces
- Chrome Surfaces
Do not apply to unapproved surfaces.
Use of FEYNLAB® products on surfaces not listed is done at the user’s own risk. FEYNLAB® is not
SURFACE PREPARATION
Thoroughly clean wheels and calipers using FEYNLAB® TIRE AND WHEEL CLEANER and FEYNLAB® PURE WASH. If needed, continue with a wheel acid to assist in any further stuck contamination. You can also follow with a clay treatment and polishing when necessary.
Once the surface is cleaned and corrected to your desired level, remove all remaining oils or residue using FEYNLAB® PANEL PREP. Proper surface prep is critical in order to achieve maximum bonding and long-term durability.
APPLICATION ENVIRONMENT
Apply in a clean, well-lit, temperature-controlled environment between 10°C–30°C (50°F–85°F). Temperature and humidity play a role in cure time. Higher humidity accelerates curing. If humidity approaches 75% or higher, shorten dwell and wipe times accordingly. The same applies to temperature—the higher it goes, the shorter your dwell times should be. Air movement also speeds curing. Shut down fans and minimize airflow during application to maintain consistent dwell times across all sections.
APPLICATION DIRECTIONS
- Always begin with a small test area to determine proper flash times for your specific conditions.
- Shake the bottle vigorously for 2 minutes before use.
- Open the bottle and allow 1 minute of air exposure before application.
- Apply a small amount of product to a microfiber applicator and spread evenly across the surface. Use enough product to fully coat the area without oversaturating. And with overlapping passes to “cross hatch” or simply ensure even coverage.
- Allow the coating to dwell for 5–25 minutes. Do not exceed 40 minutes — extended dwell times will make the leveling process significantly more difficult.
- Level the remaining coating using a few clean microfiber towels, following the same pattern used during application.
OPTIONAL AIRBRUSH APPLICATION
Using an airbrush of your choice, the coating may be spray-applied. This can provide a more uniform and dense coating. This process will also extend dwell times to 10–35 minutes.
- Always begin with a small test area to determine proper flash times for your specific conditions. (preferably the back of the wheel or in the barrel)
- Shake the bottle vigorously for 2 minutes before use.
- Open the bottle and allow 1 minute of air exposure before application.
- Ensure your gun has a needle and tip size of 0.3–0.5 mm.
- Fill the cup with coating and set air pressure between 15–25 psi at the gun, with a general sweet spot of 20–22 psi.
- Keep the gun perpendicular to the surface and approximately 4–6 inches away. Apply light, overlapping passes. Do not try to “wet it out” in one pass. Allow the coating to build gradually into a thin layer.
- Cover the entire area and allow it to dwell for the time established during your test section.
Do not exceed 40 minutes extended dwell times will make the leveling process significantly more difficult. - Level the remaining coating using a few clean microfiber towels, following the same pattern used during application.
INFRARED CURING (OPTIONAL BUT RECOMMENDED)
For accelerated curing, use an IR lamp to bring the surface temperature to 60°C (140°F).
Set the lamp approximately 30–36 inches from the surface and cure for 15 minutes per area.
INSPECTION
Carefully inspect all edges, tight areas, and contours for high spots during the final wipe. High spots are easiest to remove within 20–40 minutes after wipe-off. Once curing begins, removal becomes significantly more difficult.
LAYERING
One layer is sufficient to achieve up to 1 year of durability on clear-coated painted surfaces.
POST-APPLICATION CARE
Avoid water exposure for 24 hours.
Avoid all chemicals and car washes for 7 days.
SHELF LIFE
Unopened: 1 year
Opened: Use within 30 days
SAFETY
Always wear gloves and a respirator during application.
Ensure the application area is free of loose contamination.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q1. Can ceramic coating on wheels handle heavy brake dust from performance driving or track racing?
Yes. This is the best use case for Ceramic Wheel and Caliper. While coated wheels still accumulate soiling and dirt, the rate of accumulation is drastically slowed compared to uncoated surfaces, and soil release becomes remarkably easier.
Q2. How long does Ceramic Wheel and Caliper coating last?
Roughly one to two years depending on usage, maintenance quality, and application technique.
Q3. Is Ceramic Wheel and Caliper safe to apply to rotors?
No. This product is designed only for calipers and wheels. Although the coating would burn off during your first braking attempt, you do not want to add anything to the mating surface of the braking system.
Q4. How does Ceramic Wheel and Caliper affect the finish of my wheels?
The coating enhances the original finish by adding depth and richness to the color. Matte or satin wheels appear slightly deeper and more saturated without adding gloss. The coating preserves factory finish appearance while providing protection.
Q5. Can Ceramic Wheel and Caliper be topped with any other coating?
Yes. Overcoat V3 can be used to add extreme slickness and better self-cleaning capabilities. We also recommend regular routine maintenance with Hybrid Ceramic Detailer after any wash or to clean up minor dusting between washes.

Toxix Detailing, Elton Fernandez –
Toxix Detailing’s go to Wheel and Caliper Coating.
We find that it seems to last more than a year if maintained properly (minimally as well)
Goes on rock hard and seems to protect for a long long time.
For some of our clients wheels we sometimes just layer it on and leave it on, especially for those race car, performance vehicles!
Adds a bit of gloss as well, even matte colored wheels appear to be richer, deeper and darker when coated.
Sam Spirer (verified owner) –
Whether you are spraying this on or wiping it with an applicator this will bring amazing hydrophobicity and ease of cleaning to your wheels. I spray wheels at my shop and if using the right airbrush you will not need to level anymore. This creates a thicker shield also and helps on matte or satin surfaces that may otherwise have their sheen affected. When applied by hand, i’ve found it adds a ridiculous amount of gloss. Has held up incredibly well on many clients cars.
